Ted Harvey
Residential Manager

Was born in Jacksonville Florida on June 29, 1958. He has two biological children, a boy age 13 and a girl age 20. Ted has two step children, a boy age 24 and a girl age 19. Ted is married and lives in Liberty SC. He enjoys reading, exercising, fishing and gardening.

Ted graduated from high school in 1978. He started working at the North East Florida State Hospital (NEFSH) in June 1978. Ted worked with children and adolescents as a front line staff. He also worked on the Behavioral Treatment Unit within the State Hospital. Ted worked for NEFSH for 12 ½ years (1978 to 1990). Ted & his family moved to the Greenville area in May of 1990. He started working at a local Hospital on the adolescent unit. He worked there for 10 months . Ted started working at a Treatment Facility in April 1991 as front line staff. He was promoted to supervisor shortly after and later to Treatment Coordinator. Ted attended college and received a Bachelors Degree in Social Work (BSW) in May 1999. Ted started to work part time at Crossroads in April 1999 as a shift supervisor on the weekends, then accepted a position at Crossroads as Residential Manager and started to work as a full time employee. Ted has worked within the Mental Health field for his entire working career (22 years).

Ted says, " I enjoy working at Crossroads because of the family oriented atmosphere and I enjoy working with people dedicated to helping adolescents become successful through a caring and quality Treatment Program". The farm setting and the adolescent’s participation in Animal Assisted Therapy helps the children develop empathy for others as well as themselves.

Crossroads is proud to have Ted with our team. To find an employee as dedicated as he is, has been a wonderful addition to our staff.
